Sixers hit the beach

The Sixers Beach Bash returned to Jack's Place in Avalon, NJ on Saturday for an afternoon of sun and fun. Ed Stefanski, Evan Turner, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren, the newly introduced Sixers Dancers, Hip-Hop and the Hare Raisers were all in attendence. Check out the photos.

Iguodala named Team USA finalist

Andre Iguodala was named one of 15 finalists for the 2010 USA World Championship Team. The final 12-man roster must be submitted by the day prior to the start of the FIBA World Championship, which begins August 28 in Turkey. Sixers sign Tony Battie

Ed Stefanski announced the signing of center Tony Battie, saying that he will "give us additional depth in the front court while also providing a valuable veteran presence." Battie (6' 11", 240 lbs) has played 12 seasons, averaging 6.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 772 games with 418 starts. Full Story | News Conference
